Our Story

“They shall build up the ancient ruins;
they shall raise up the former devastations;
they shall repair the ruined cities,
the devastations of many generations.”

Isaiah 61:4

Restoryed Families was born out of more than 22 years of lived experience in foster care, adoption, and kinship care.

Over those years, we began to see the same patterns repeat again and again.

We saw a disconnect between churches and the real, everyday needs of biological, foster, adoptive, and kinship families, as well as youth aging out of care. We saw single parents who wanted their children back but lacked the stability, resources, and supportive relationships needed to succeed.

We saw children separated from siblings and moved from home to home without lasting stability—spending years in foster care without the consistency every child needs. We saw youth aging out of care with no family support and nowhere to go.

We saw foster families giving everything they had, around the clock, often without adequate support—burning out under the weight of complex trauma they were never equipped to carry. We saw adoptive families overwhelmed when trauma surfaced after adoption, with little ongoing support available.

We saw failed adoptions, disrupted placements, and families left alone to carry outcomes they never anticipated.

Over time, one truth became impossible to ignore:

Children weren’t the only ones in crisis—youth and entire families were trying to survive without the support needed to stay stable.

Restoryed Families was created to respond to that gap. We exist to connect churches, communities, and social services into real, practical support networks—not in theory, but in everyday life.

Our Mission

  • Strengthen families so children can remain safely at home whenever possible
  • Shorten the time children spend in uncertainty when reunification is possible
  • Support foster, kinship, and adoptive families through the hardest parts of their journey
  • Provide resources and community for youth aging out of foster care with no family support
  • Equip and connect churches to the families and youth in their own neighborhoods

We believe children thrive when families are supported. And we believe cycles of trauma can end when families and youth are surrounded by consistent care, practical resources, and people who will stay.

This work is deeply rooted in our faith. We believe God is a God of restoration—one who “restores the years the locust have eaten.” What has been lost is not beyond healing. What has been taken is not beyond redemption.

Restoryed Families meets youth and families where they are in their story and walks with them as God brings restoration and new beginnings.
